In a roundup of this week\u2019s news, AirPlus International and Airbnb are joining forces, NMI has added features to its platform for payment facilitators, and Stripe has rounded up handy tools for its merchants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apple announced that Apple Pay<\/strong> now <\/em>supports<\/em><\/a> instant donations to nonprofits.<\/em> Users can make donations using Apple Pay without having to enter their billing or contact information.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re making it incredibly easy to give back with Apple Pay,\u201d said Jennifer Bailey, Apple\u2019s vice president of Apple Pay, in an announcement. \u201cWebsites and apps tell us they see twice as many people actually completing a purchase with Apple Pay than with other payment methods. We think offering such a simple and secure way to support the incredible work nonprofits do will have a significant impact on the communities they serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company listed 19 nonprofits that are using the Apple Pay capability so far, as well as additional ones that are in the works.<\/p>\n

AirPlus International and Airbnb<\/em><\/strong> announced<\/em> that they are developing an integrated solution for booking, payment and billing business travel.<\/em> The new payments process would enable travelers to book Airbnb accommodations and bill their company accounts, the announcement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore and more business travelers wish to make use of the flexibility that the sharing economy offers. At the same time, travel managers wish to track compliance and costs,\u201d said Patrick W. Diemer, Managing Director of AirPlus in the press release. \u201cTogether with Airbnb, we are pleased to combine flexible booking, automated payment and billing as well as transparent cost management into a single solution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stripe<\/em><\/strong> launched <\/em>Works with Stripe<\/em>,<\/em> a directory of tools that Stripe merchants can add to their accounts to help them manage their businesses.<\/p>\n

Payments technology provider NMI<\/strong> has <\/em>added<\/em> real-time ACH to the payment options available on its facilitator enablement (FACe) gateway platform.<\/em> The company has also added account updater services, enabling its merchants to keep cardholder data current \u2013 particularly important for recurring billing and subscriptions.<\/p>\n

\u201cPayFacs using the FACe platform can now offer merchants the same frictionless experience for ACH as they do with credit card processing,\u201d said Nick Starai, vice president of product development for NMI, in a press release. \u201cAnd, account updater capabilities significantly reduce authorization declines, as well as the time and cost of manually updating account information.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
