Slated to streamline the company\u2019s ISV solution, this new combination enables software companies to more efficiently add payment processing to their SaaS, POS and mobile applications, according to the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Existing technology, sales and operations teams have also been combined among the CardConnect and BluePay organizations under the CardConnect brand. Efforts are targeted to not only deliver increased value to their software partners but also enhance and develop new ISV-centric technology to service the ISV space.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;First Data is committed to creating an ecosystem that helps the\u00a0developer and software community realize the full advantages of integrated payments,\u201d said First Data Chairman and CEO Frank Bisignano, via the same release. &#8220;We brought CardConnect and BluePay into the First Data family to evolve our ISV business into being a world-class offering. Combining these two organizations is the natural next step in furthering our momentum in the high-growth ISV space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The release also quotes BluePay CEO Bala Janakiraman: \u201cUpon joining First Data, the advantages to existing BluePay partners were clear. This move will make CardConnect\u2019s powerful partner portal, CoPilot, accessible to our partners\u00a0who have integrated to the BluePay Gateway, allowing\u00a0them to continue to thrive. In addition, CardConnect partners will benefit from BluePay\u2019s robust gateway, fraud management tools, account updater, and an expansive selection of payment plugins for business management software in a variety of verticals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Existing CardConnect and BluePay customers will be able to take advantage of this new functionality without requiring changes to their current technical specifications.
