{"id":4260,"date":"2018-10-17T21:57:49","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T02:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paymentfacilitator.com\/?p=4260"},"modified":"2022-02-24T22:17:04","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T22:17:04","slug":"youre-going-to-have-a-lot-of-friends-infinicept-ceo-ablowitz-on-the-pf-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/infinicept.com\/payment-facilitator\/archive\/youre-going-to-have-a-lot-of-friends-infinicept-ceo-ablowitz-on-the-pf-market\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cYou\u2019re Going to Have a Lot of Friends\u201d: Infinicept CEO Ablowitz on the PF Market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a relatively new entrant into the payments industry, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infinicept.com\/\">payment facilitator model<\/a> raises a lot of fundamental questions, from both SaaS companies that could benefit from it and legacy payments providers looking to serve it.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, Todd Ablowitz set the stage for PF WORLD 2018, opening the event with research projecting that the PF market can grow to be \u201creally, really big.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ablowitz is CEO and founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infinicept.com\/\">Infinicept<\/a> and Double Diamond Group, and founder and publisher of PaymentFacilitator.<\/p>\n<p>Ablowitz cited Double Diamond Group research forecasting that North American payment facilitators would represent $513 billion in gross payments volume and $4.4 billion in net revenue by 2021.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1nGBjwrJUAw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>SaaS companies are recognizing the potential ROI of accepting payments as part of their business model, which means many more companies are likely to enter the PF market, Ablowitz said.<\/p>\n<p>He cited a survey of companies currently operating as independent software vendors (ISVs) and value-added resellers (VARs) conducted by Double Diamond Group, in which more than half of the respondents said they are developing plans to monetize the payments coming across their platforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether you\u2019re coming from a merchant acquirer or card brand perspective, or you\u2019re coming from a vertical software company perspective, what you\u2019ll see is you\u2019re going to have a lot of friends in this market,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s going to be a lot of payment facilitators.
