Our investment\nactivity is guided by our three ongoing focus areas: strengthening omnichannel\ncommerce, expanding financial services, and growing current international\nmarkets.\u201d ~Square shareholder letter<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Square\u2019s total net\nrevenue for Q4 was up 51% at $933 million YoY.<\/li><li>Gross payment volume\nfor Q4 was up 28% YoY at $23 billion.<\/li><li>Net loss for the\nquarter was $28 million compared to $16 million in Q4 of 2017.<\/li><li>Q4 adjusted revenue\nwas up 64% YoY at $464 million.<ul><li>For\nthe full year of 2018, excluding the Weebly and Zesty acquisitions, total net\nrevenue and adjusted revenue grew 46% and 54% year over year, respectively.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>For\nthe full year of 2018, transaction-based revenue was $2.5 billion, up 29% year\nover year, and transaction-based profit was $913 million, up 32% year over\nyear. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Also worthy of mention: PayPal, RealPage,\nBlackbaud and Shopify are some of the other PFs that reportedly closed off the\nyear with a bang (or, more accurately, a swipe, tap or click).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/stories\/us\/paypal-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2018-results\"><strong>PayPal<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cIn 2018 we set new benchmarks for the company for\nrevenue, net new active accounts and engagement across our platform. We believe\n2019 will be another strong year for us, and we intend to build on our\nstrengths to extend our leadership as the leading open digital payments\nplatform.\u201d said Dan Schulman, president and CEO of PayPal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For Q4 2018:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The company reported total revenue of $4.23 billion for Q4 2018.<\/li><li>Overall GAAP revenue was up 13% on both a spot and foreign currency-neutral basis.<\/li><li>Non-GAAP revenue was up 14% on both a spot and foreign currency-neutral basis.<\/li><li>Payment transactions were also up 28% for Q4 at 2.9 billion.<ul><li>Up 27% for the full year at 9.9 billion<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>And total payment volume was up 23% for Q4 at $164 billion.<ul><li>Up 27% for the full year at $578 billion<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shopify<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe made history in 2018: No other SaaS company has crossed the $1\nbillion-dollar revenue mark at a faster growth rate than Shopify has,\u201d said\nShopify CEO Tobi L\u00fctke.<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Q4 2018:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Total revenue for the fourth quarter was $343.9 million.<ul><li>$1.073 billion for the full year and up 59% from 2017<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Subscription Solutions revenue grew 42% to $133.6 million.<ul><li>$465.0 million for the full year and up 50%<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Merchant Solutions revenue was also up 63% at $210.3 million.<\/li><li>Gross merchandise volume (GMV) grew by 54% at $14.0 billion.<\/li><li>Gross payments volume increased to $5.8 billion and accounted for 41% of total GMV processed for Q4.<\/li><li>Gross profit dollars increased 53% to $185.7 million.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phx.corporate-ir.net\/phoenix.zhtml?c=176673&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=2386406\">Blackbaud:<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;We had a solid finish to 2018 and we furthered our strategic\ninitiatives to position the company for long-term success,&#8221;
