Revenues grew across the board and PFs\nreported responding to market trends with expanded solutions for their merchant\nclients. We have highlights from the earnings reports below. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s21.q4cdn.com\/114365585\/files\/doc_financials\/2019\/Q1\/2019-Q1-Shareholder-Letter-Square.pdf\"><strong>Square<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCustomers are used to buying in person, on their computers,\nand on their phones, and Square provides sellers with the tools they need to\noffer a seamless experience across these channels. We integrated Weebly\ntechnology with Square to create a feature-rich, self-serve website builder\nthat helps sellers create a custom online store. Square Online Store gives\nbuyers more options, including the ability to purchase online and then pick up\nin store (a feature typically only available through enterprise sellers), as\nwell as shoppable Instagram galleries.\u201d &#8211; Square Q1 2019 Shareholder Letter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Total net revenue of $959 million, up 43% from\n1Q 2018 <\/li><li>Adjusted revenue of $489 million, up 59% <\/li><li>Gross payments volume (GPV) of $22.6 billion, up\n27%. GPV from larger sellers grew 37% over 1Q 2018. Larger sellers accounted\nfor 51% of the total GPV \u2013 an increase from 47% in the first quarter of 2018.<\/li><li>Subscription and services-based revenue of $219\nmillion, up 126%<\/li><li>Adjusted EBITDA of $62 million, up 72% <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shopify<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe information age is rapidly changing how commerce is\ndone and by whom. By harnessing these changes to empower entrepreneurs, Shopify\nis meeting a need that is not only global and growing, but that is likely to\ncontinue growing for the foreseeable future.\u201d said Tobi L\u00fctke, Shopify\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Revenue of $320.5 million, up 50% from 1Q 2018<\/li><li>Revenue for the company\u2019s Subscription Solutions\ndivision up 40% to $140.5 million. The increase was driven primarily by an\nincrease in merchants joining the platform, resulting in an increase in monthly\nrecurring revenue<\/li><li>Gross payments volume of $4.9 billion<\/li><li>Gross profit dollars up 46% to $180.3 million<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blackbaud<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We continued to rapidly advance our existing\napplications, brought new solutions to market, and closed on the acquisition of\nYourCause which creates lasting value for our customers and shareholders, and\ngrows our addressable markets,&#8221; said Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud&#8217;s president\nand CEO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Total GAAP revenue of $215.8 million, up 5.7%<\/li><li>GAAP recurring revenue of $198.1 million in, up\n9.5% and representing 91.8% of total GAAP revenue<\/li><li>Total non-GAAP revenue of $216.5 million, up\n5.9%<\/li><li>Non-GAAP recurring revenue of $198.8 million, up\n9.7% and representing 91.8% of total non-GAAP revenue. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/stories\/us\/paypal-reports-first-quarter-2019-results\"><strong>PayPal<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough our partnership with JPMorgan Chase, PayPal is one\nof the first companies to introduce real-time payments for both consumers and\nmerchants in the U.S., part of our ongoing effort to offer our customers faster\nand more flexible access to their funds.
