{"id":4621,"date":"2019-07-10T18:00:50","date_gmt":"2019-07-10T18:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paymentfacilitator.com\/?p=4621"},"modified":"2022-02-24T22:22:59","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T22:22:59","slug":"docusign-teams-with-gocardless-for-recurring-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/infinicept.com\/payment-facilitator\/archive\/docusign-teams-with-gocardless-for-recurring-payments\/","title":{"rendered":"DocuSign Teams with GoCardless for Recurring Payments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Esignature provider DocuSign has tapped London-based recurring payments provider GoCardless to offer a direct debit payment option to its subscribers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the companies\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gocardless.com\/blog\/docusign-and-gocardless\/\">announcement<\/a>, GoCardless will enable the payment option for DocuSign\u2019s customers in the U.K. and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHistorical payment options designed for ecommerce are just not fit for purpose when it comes to collecting recurring revenue \u2013 and a binary choice between cards and PayPal can be a blocker on growth,\u201d Hiroki Takeuchi, CEO of GoCardless, said in the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBusinesses are realising that there is a better way to solve their recurring payment needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to GoCardless research across 10 markets worldwide, one-third of customers say they\u2019re likely to choose bank debit to pay for their online subscriptions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And among business users, 44% were likely to use the direct debit payment method, surpassing corporate cards, bank transfers and digital wallets, the company said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want our global customers to have access to simple and easy payment methods when purchasing DocuSign,\u201d Robin Joy, SVP of Digital, Demand &amp; Web Sales at DocuSign, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be working with GoCardless to offer Bank Debit as a payment option throughout the UK and Europe, to ensure customers are able to complete quick and easy transactions with DocuSign.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GoCardless enables recurring payments such as subscriptions, membership and installment payments, processing $10 billion annually for businesses that include TripAdvisor and the Guardian.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DocuSign enables clients to send, sign and manage agreements digitally, offering subscription plans to enable those users to send out documents for signature.
