{"id":4856,"date":"2020-04-22T17:47:17","date_gmt":"2020-04-22T17:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paymentfacilitator.com\/?p=4856"},"modified":"2022-02-24T22:18:55","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T22:18:55","slug":"shopify-expands-shopify-capital-to-canadian-merchants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/infinicept.com\/payment-facilitator\/archive\/shopify-expands-shopify-capital-to-canadian-merchants\/","title":{"rendered":"Shopify Expands Shopify Capital to Canadian Merchants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Shopify announced this week that it is expanding its\nShopify Capital cash advance product to Canada to provide assistance to small\nbusinesses there. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shopify Capital provides merchants with advances against\ntheir future sales to help provide much needed cash flow within a few days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis funding will fill in the gaps that banks generally\ncan\u2019t satisfy right now and provide businesses with the cash flow they need,\nwhen they need it most &#8211; now, not months from now,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.shopify.com\/shopify-capital-launches-in-canada-to-help-businesses-with-quick-and-easy-access-to-funds\">company\nsaid<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shopify\u2019s Canada move is the latest in a string of\nannouncements the payment facilitator has made about expanding access to\ncapital for its business customers. In March, it <a href=\"https:\/\/news.shopify.com\/shopify-capital-expands-to-the-uk-to-provide-immediate-relief-to-merchants\">expanded<\/a>\nShopify Capital to the U.K. The company also <a href=\"https:\/\/infinicept.com\/payment-facilitator\/business\/shopify-further-simplifies-the-startup-process-with-starter-loans\/\">launched\nsmall starter loans<\/a> as another form of merchant financing offered through\nthe Shopify Capital product in January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And earlier this month, it extended its <a href=\"https:\/\/news.shopify.com\/shopify-launches-new-email-product-globally-making-it-easier-to-reach-customers-during-covid-19\">email\nmarketing tool<\/a> to all of its merchants for free until October 1, as part of\nan ongoing effort to support more businesses globally through the COVID-19\ncrisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growing ecommerce transaction volume as new companies move online\nhas translated into positive news for Shopify\u2019s stock.
